Michelle BabbsMichelle is a Chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is registered with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC). Michelle is trained in a wide range of cognitive therapies, and is particularly interested in Schema-focused and Compassionate-based approaches. She has also had training in systemic and family therapy.

Michelle was born and raised in London. Her interest in psychology grew when studying child development after her now adult son, was born. She went on to get a BSc in Psychology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. After graduation, Michelle gained research and invaluable clinical experiences in eating disorders at South West London & St. George’s NHS Trust. She went on to do her Doctorate degree at the University of East London, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2004.

Through her 19 years of NHS experience, , Michelle has gained a broad range of clinical experience working with difficulties including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, body dysmorphia, low self-esteem, sexual health problems, addictions and work-related stress. She enjoys working with adults and young people, as well as couples and families.

Alongside her private work, Michelle continues to be work for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
