Dr Rhea WilliamsRhea is an HCPC Registered Psychologist, a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a member of the BPS Division of Counselling Psychology in the UK. She completed a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City University, London where she researched therapy experiences of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Rhea currently works in a weight management service at St Marys Hospital Imperial NHS Trust providing psychological support to individuals struggling with their weight. She has also worked at a specialist service for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well as the Integrated Psychological therapy team at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. It is there where she developed a strong interest and passion for working with clients presenting with eating disorders. She went on work at The Specialist Eating Disorder Unit at the Maudsley Hospital where she co-facilitated a weekly therapy group.

In addition to her integrative training, Rhea has a special interest in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and worked part time at the St. Thomas Hospital in Westminster with varied mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.

Rhea graduated with an honours degree in Psychology from the University of Nottingham in 2010 and completed her postgraduate diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regent’s University London in 2013. She speaks English and Tamil.
