Iona completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Plymouth and is currently studying on the Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy masters programme at the University of Roehampton.

Across her training she has studied psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy, developing a specialist interest in the development and treatment of eating disorders and body image difficulties. This interest was also sparked through her work as a volunteer for BEAT – the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, where she supported those struggling with disordered eating. Beyond this role, she has experience in several clinical roles, working with individuals with a variety of emotional, learning, psychological and neurological difficulties. Including but not limited to specialist education schools and neurodegenerative clinics.

As a result, Iona values a ‘one size does not fit all’ approach and works with an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of modalities to provide a tailored, individual approach that best suits each client’s specific goals and needs.

Outside of work, Iona is a keen dancer (dancing from the age of 2!) and still attends a weekly contemporary dance class.
