Trainee Counselling Psychologist


Lisette Guy completed her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Greenwich, and her master's degree at UCL. She is a trainee counselling psychologist in her final year of the Professional Doctorate at City, University of London. She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, and in-training member of the Division of Counselling Psychology.

She has studied in person-centred, cognitive behavioural, and psychodynamic approaches, and has gained experience working with psychological and physical health related difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, functional neurological disorder, wellbeing in long-term health conditions, end-of-life care, psycho-oncology support, self-harm, eating disorders and body image difficulties.

Lisette is passionate about tailoring therapy to each person and creating collaborative relationships to empower resilience and wellbeing. She is compassionate and client-focussed, bringing warmth and a degree of humour to her work, when appropriate.

On a personal note, Lisette lives in London with her partner and dog, Spud. She enjoys seeing live music and playing the occasional videogame.
