BA(Hons) MScNut Dip Diet SRD | Maureen is a Specialist Dietitian registered with The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of The British Dietetic Association. She attained her first degree in Social Biology at Surrey University and went on to study her Master’s degree in Nutrition and a Diploma in Dietetics with State Registration at King’s College London.

She has worked for over 25 years in the NHS and her interest and expertise in eating disorders has developed in the last 20 years. In 1992 she set up a Dietetic service to GPs in the central London area and it was during this time that she began to see patients with eating disorders. From then on she began to specialise in this area treating both young people and adults with a range of eating disorders as well as obesity. She has worked in specialist adult and adolescent eating disorders services (in both inpatient and outpatient settings) in London, Surrey and Hampshire (both within the NHS and private sector). She continues to work in the NHS as the Consultant Dietitian in a London based child and adolescent eating disorders service.Maureen has also worked privately for the last 15 years and now has an established private practice.

Her interest and training in Sports Nutrition initially lead her to advise a number of athletes (ranging from the keen sportsperson to the elite variety).In her work in the field of eating disorders and obesity, she has been able to draw from this expertise.

With training in counselling skills, systemic practice and family based treatment, Maureen has a psychological approach to treating clients and has developed her role working in a variety of multidisciplinary teams.
