Roger Hoyte


Roger is a Psychotherapist with a passion for helping people overcome their difficulties and live happier lives. He completed his MA in Systemic & Family Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, a world leading training institution for Psychotherapy. He has over ten years of experience as a Psychotherapist and is registered with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). He also completed an MSc in Child, Adolescent & Family Mental Health at the Metropolitan University. Roger has worked in various mental health settings (NHS and Private), providing individual, couples, and family therapy.

His training has given him the skills to work effectively with adults, adolescents, and children. Roger has experience working with a broad range of difficulties and his special interests include eating disorders, stress, anxiety, depression, couples therapy, family therapy, parent/child relationships, managing work stress, behaviour modification, psycho-education, narrative therapy, communication theory/communication difficulties, and helping to develop positive self-identity.

Roger has extensive experience supporting people’s recovery from anorexia, binging eating disorder, bulimia and other eating disorders within a community and inpatient setting. He believes that recovery encompasses the physical and psychological and has a holistic approach to recovery.

Roger understands the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance and a safe therapeutic space. At the heart of his clinical practice is compassion. He is adept at helping clients explore and navigate relationships within their family and the wider society. He is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to help them regain control over their feelings and behaviours and empower them with the skills and resources necessary to better manage their lives.
