Our Clients
We've helped thousands of patients since 2005, here's what they think of us...
In the words of our clients
Since we opened our doors in 2005, we have worked with thousands of individual patients, helping them to understand and learn to manage whatever mental health issues are affecting them.
Here’s what some of our recent clients had to say about their experience of working with us and how the Altum Health therapists have helped them to move forward with life.
We have the permission of these clients to share their feedback, but, as our work is highly confidential, we’ve changed some of the names of these individuals to protect their privacy.
Thank you so much for your help. [Our daughter] had a really constructive session and is very positive about going through the process. I can't tell you how relieved we are to know she is getting support and feeling like she has help to find a way forward.
In the last year, I have achieved more than I ever thought possible and have really surprised myself. For the first time, I have actually looked forward to therapy instead of dreading it.
I’ve never had a therapist who has understood and communicated with me like you have. I still hear your voice encouraging me, accepting me and not judging me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the genuine care, patience, honesty and support you have shown me.
You raised me to life, enabled me to live, to begin the journey to the place where I can be ‘whole’, healed and beautiful, without shadow or secret or shame.
I cannot really find the words to express how eternally grateful I am to you for helping me maintain a healthy pregnancy and to continue with my recovery after the birth of my son.

My little girl was born on the 5th September. She’s a really calm baby and we love her so much! I think about you so often and how you changed my life! There is not one moment that I will ever forget how you got me through life, and now I have the kindest most loving husband and this perfect little being.... our own family! Thank you and love from all of us xxx
When you think about therapy, you think it’s going to be so serious, but I felt safe and comfortable and fine, that was unexpected. It has taught me coping mechanisms, to recognise patterns, and see things differently about myself. It makes the hard stuff less hard.
It feels nurturing, rather than clinical. The rooms where you have the therapy are very welcoming and homely, as opposed to an NHS hospital setting. Other places haven’t had as nice an atmosphere. I was severely ill, and having in-patient treatment elsewhere, but Altum Health has helped me get from anorexia to a much healthier place and taught me how to manage my internal battles.
In many ways she saved my life. She put me on the path to my career. I haven’t relapsed since. I will always have body image issues, I will always go through bad days, but she has given me the tools to catch it before it gets worse. It was invaluable. It wasn’t just about helping eating habits, it’s all encompassing. All your psychological wounds, traumas, everything is challenged and worked on and looked at. You go in to solve an eating disorder and come out more rounded and self-aware. You have more agency - you can actually choose your behaviours. It was amazing having somebody who was completely on your side. Someone in your corner fighting alongside you, your demons and your battles.
Just wanted to thank you all for helping Isabel to date. Recently we have really noticed a change in her - her mood, attitude and eating habits have really improved. We have also had positive feedback from a number of teachers at her school. We are aware that this is probably going to continue to be a roller coaster, but wanted to let you know that things appear to be moving in the right direction which is a huge relief to all of us - most of all, to Isabel who is seeming far more content. Isabel has really found her sessions with Lauren helpful and although I had concerns about the remote nature of the sessions, they certainly seem to be working for her. I've recommended you to a number of people whose teens are experiencing difficulties. Thank you - there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel now!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your quick response and support for [my daughter] last Easter. I really feel the quick turnaround by yourself has aided a quicker recovery, and prevented hospitalisation. I will always be grateful to you and your team for this.
I received treatment from Altum Health in 2014/15. Before meeting the psychology team at Altum I had seen four different therapists / therapy teams. The approach in Altum was professional but compassionate and ultimately it worked for me. It gave me the tools to overcome my ED - and now many years later I am still very much recovered. I saw two psychologists at Altum, including Dr Raspin, and received individual and group therapy - this really did help me to build compassion around myself and my illness which was fundamental in overcoming it. Simply learning to accept and validate my own feelings was a really powerful tool for me. I was always highly functioning with my illness but it stole a lot of joy and brought a lot of shame over an extended period so I am really grateful that I haven't had to carry it into my mid-late 30s. I would highly recommend Altum Health for others that are struggling like I was.
I would highly recommend Altum Health (and have) to anyone who needs any services they provide. They simplify the process of starting therapy and go above and beyond to suit their clients' needs.
