Dr Neema Chudasama is dedicated to placing her clients at the centre of therapy, working flexibly to help them achieve their goals and recovery. She prides herself on empowering individuals to become their own therapists by teaching them the skills and techniques needed to manage their mental health positively and sustainably. Neema believes that everyone is an expert on themselves and sometimes just needs guidance to rediscover this.
As a cognitive behavioural therapist registered with the BABCP, Neema works holistically with adults facing a range of anxiety and depression disorders. She uses evidence-based techniques and incorporates third-wave methods such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. Neema collaborates closely with her clients to tailor the therapy to their unique needs and circumstances, ensuring that every step taken is aligned with their personal goals for change.
Neema qualified as a doctor from King’s College London, where she also earned a BSc in Philosophy and Basic Medical Sciences. She later completed a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy. With over 10 years of experience as a senior clinician in the NHS and as a corporate therapist for various organisations, Neema has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances.
She has a passion for addressing low self-esteem and self-confidence, recognising that these issues often underpin many other mental health challenges. She is also particularly interested in helping those with long-term conditions manage the impact on their mental health, and she has specialised skills in working with tinnitus. Neema offers both short-term and long-term therapy, always aiming to empower her clients to explore and understand themselves, enabling them to live more in line with their values and view their mental health as a source of strength rather than a hindrance.
